Main Responsibilities
  • Prepare and recommend to the Board annual business plans and longer term strategic plans to meet specific revenue targets, profits and shareholder returns
  • Assume total commercial responsibility for the subsidiary, develop and execute strategic vision for each puplication, achieving agreed targets on revenues, deadlines, print quality and on content
  • Pursue growth opportunities for product development while enhancing quality of products, customer care and ensuring loyalty and service delivery
  • Build, coach and mentor a strong management team to drive business goals and build a talent pool for key positions
  • Work with other senior managers within the Group to align subsidiary goals to overall business strategy and ensure smooth operations where input is required from the subsidiary
  • Work closely with all external stakeholders to cultivate effective business relationships and ensure all stakeholders are kept informed of major business decisions
  • Be an active member of the Group's Executive Team and the Strategy Review Committee of the Board and provide the right leadership within the subsidiary and actively promote the right culture within the company.
Qualifications Degree level
Requirements
  • Must hold a degree from a recognized university. MBA will be an added advantage
  • Proven record in managing a fast moving consumer business to sustainable profitability
  • Demonstrate capability to work with multiple stakeholders and is an inspirational leader
  • Must have headed a medium sized business, delivering and exceeding agreed targets over 3 years
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
